palo azul is traditionally used to support kidney function through detoxification. Diuretic, with anti inflammatory properties. High in polyphenols, alkalizing, and caffeine free. To use: boil bark in filtered or spring water, bring to continued simmer for 30-60 minutes. Tea should be blue. If not, place in clear glass and set it in the sun for an hour to allow the fluorescent polyphenols to react with sunlight. If tea still isn't blue, decoction is weak and needs more wood. Strain before drinking\storing. Decoction can be drank hot or cold, and stored in refrigerator for up to 4 days.
