Catnip Leaf & Flower

Catnip can calm the nerves and aid in sleep. It is antispasmodic, so it can settle stomach and cramps; It's also diaphoretic (opens pores) which can be useful for moistening skin, releasing heat from fevers, and/or promoting sweating. It can also be used to alleviate hives, soothe colic & teething issues, and fight fever, measles, chicken pox, colds, chills, congestion, sore throat, and indigestion. Recommended to be ingested in tea form. Narcotic-like effects if overused, so not recommended for extended periods of time in small children. Avoid use while pregnant; the Mint Family of herbs can cause uterine contractions, especially in the first trimester.
